Komen for the Cure established Komen Champions for the Cure™ as a structured grassroots public policy program designed to educate Congress, the President, policy makers, and the public about what they can do to make a difference in breast cancer policy.

Komen Champions for the Cure™ was inspired by the more than 75,000 Komen volunteers working in their local communities with policy makers and other community leaders, and with their state health departments. Komen works to influence public policy-makers at the federal, state and local levels to increase public investment in quality breast health and breast cancer care.
