The San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is seeking an energetic and mission-oriented individual to serve as the Development and Outreach Director. With more than 100 Affiliates and 75,000 volunteers worldwide, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is one of the most progressive, grassroots breast cancer organizations today. A global leader in the fight against breast cancer, Komen for the Cure fulfills its mission through support of innovative breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards and community-based outreach programs. Since its inception, the San Diego Affiliate has awarded more than $5 million to local organizations that have made valuable contributions trough breast cancer diagnostics/treatment, education, screening and patient support programs.

The Development and Outreach Director will target, secure and supervise corporate partnerships and donor events that contribute to Susan G. Komen San Diego’s development and outreach goals. This position will work to strengthen internal fund-raising systems and will work to deepen current relationships and spawn new ones through more rigorous prospecting, cultivation and stewardship activities. This position will also manage the Grants and Volunteer outreach processes. Reporting to the Executive Director and interacting with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers. Salary range is $57,000 to $65,000.
